Elections for members of the Board are conducted each year in February.
To provide for alternation and continuity, three positions are up for election each year. Usual terms are two years beginning in March. Special elections may be conducted as needed to fulfill terms not completed.
Board positions are limited to full members. New students are not eligible to vote or hold office until they complete the Plus class.
Ballots go out in early February, so candidates need to declare their intent to run by the end of January. Ballots are counted and results announced at the last Wednesday club night in February.
For the benefit of members who are interested in running for a Board position or just helping the club, the Board has written brief descriptions of three Board positions (Administrator-President, Secretary, and Treasurer) and two other jobs that may - or may not - be done by Board members. These are to give you an overview of ways you might want to get involved in the club.
